A woman arrested for being in possession of R R215 000 worth of drugs

A 52-year-old woman was arrested in Douglas for dealing in dagga. 

The arrest comes after months of investigation by the Douglas police after they received information about specific premises dealing in drugs. 

Police Spokesperson Sergio Kock said police entered the house of the suspect while she was least expecting it and started searching the house.

Kock said during the search police confiscated 43kg of dagga consisting of 3 refuse bags of dagga, one stripe bag containing 13 arms of dagga, I black bag containing 4 arms of dagga, 11 brown paper bags, and one roll of masking tape.

“The dagga has an estimated street value of R215 000 and the suspect will remain in custody and is expected to appear in court soon" Kock added.
