The National Sea Rescue Institute in
Kommetjie has confirmed that the body of a 13-year-old who was presumed to have
drowned on Thursday has been recovered.
This morning the search headed by police divers and Ocean View Police continued for the teenager.
A local beach front resident noticed
the body of the teenager floating in shallow surf and alerted the search
party.
NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon
said the body has been handed into the care of forensic pathologist and the
family are in the care of the police and trauma counselors and the police have
opened an inquest docket.
