Body of a 9-year-old found near Kenton on Sea

Police in the Eastern Cape has found the body of a 9-year-old grade two learner who went missing Monday afternoon. 

It is believed that the child was among a group of five other children and an adult who went to spend the day on the beach. 

The child drowned while he was swimming near Kenton on Sea. 

Captain Mali Govender said the search for the 9-year-old had been called off on Tuesday morning this is after police and police divers had found her body.

Govender added that an inquest docket has been opened for investigation.
