Several weapons seized in the Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape police has confirmed that they confiscated several weapons in different villages.

The weapons were collected in places such as Centane and Willow vale.

Police Spokesperson Jackson Manatha said these weapons included pangas and machetes.

Manatha also said no one has been arrested yet and the police are investigating.

Meanwhile the Eastern Cape police have embarked on operation to collect all weapons from the boys around different villages in the province.

This operation comes after many fights ensued between boys of different villages.

Police Spokesperson Jackson Manatha said the boys as young as 12 years old are involved in these fights.

He added that the search and seizure of these weapons has prevented many murders and attempted murders in the province.
