Metrorail in the
Fortunately no one was injured and
an investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by police.
The fire caused several delays in
the afternoon.
Metrorail Western Cape Regional
Manager Mthuthuzeli Swartz said according to the preliminary reports the fire
was an act of arson because it started on a trailer and there is no way that a
fire could ignite from the trailer as there are no cables in there.
Swartz said they are conducting
their own investigation into the matter as well as the police are
investigating.
