During the chase the suspects fired
shots at the police vehicle and shot two elderly people who were walking on the
road.
Police Spokesperson Thembinkosi
Kinana said a 72-year-old and a 83-year-old are receiving medical treatment at
a nearby hospital and are reported to be in a stable condition.
Three suspects between the ages of
25 and 30-years-old were arrested on Wednesday and one hospital is receiving
treatment.
Kinana added that three firearms and
an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
