A 32-year-old man was convicted and
sentenced to ten years imprisonment for rape by the Richards Bay
Regional Court
The man identified as Andile Mzobe raped a
20-year-old woman in Richard Bay
Police said they are pleased that this heartless criminal has been removed from society where he can do no further harm to innocent women and children.
Colonel Jay Naicker said the victim was
waiting at a bus stop when she was approached by the suspect, who demanded
money from her afterwards he dragged her to a nearby bush and raped.
