A Norwegian Glider died in Bloemfontein

ER24 paramedics this afternoon said a man during a gliding activity attempt at the Tempe Airport in Bloemfontein. The man is believed to be from Norway.

ER24 spokesperson Luyanda Majija said Eyewitnesses said they saw the man take off from the plane and a few moments later his glider fluctuated backward causing him to hit the plane at great impact.

He was declared dead on scene.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will be the subject of a police investigation.
