Cosatu condemns DA march to Luthuli House

The Congress of South African Union has condemned the planned march by the Democratic Alliance to the ANC headquarters next month.

Cosatu Spokesperson Patrick Craven said Cosatu will always defend the right for every political party to protest and march, but the DA’s march is just an election stunt.

Craven said it is ironic that when the DA marched to Cosatu house in 2012 it was in opposition of Cosatu’s position on the Youth Wage Subsidy which they fully supported, and they were angry that Cosatu opposed.

“Now they’ve got the wage youth subsidy in the form of the employment tax incentive so what are they complaining about because they said this was going to be the solution to the problems facing unemployed youth, its now law yet they are still marching” Craven added.
