17 Health Officials from George Mukhari Academic Hospital suspended

The Gauteng Department of Health has suspended 17 health officials from the George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Pretoria for contravening the hospital’s recruitment procedures. 

Departmental Spokesperson Simon Zwane said those who are found guilty will be kicked out of the system. 

Zwane said the 17 health officials are on suspension for contravening the hospital’s recruitment procedures especially the treatment of general workers.

“A disciplinary process is now underway and the health officials will remain suspended until the outcome of the disciplinary hearings” Zwane added.
