A 23-year-old man
drowned and another admitted to hospital after they were both swept out to sea
in Rocklands beach, Sea Point on Sunday.
When the National
Sea Rescue Institute arrived on scene they rescued one man and he was taken to
hospital in a stable condition and the second man was still missing.
NSRI Spokesperson
Craig Lambinon following a search, a citizen assisted by the Western Cape
Emergency Services and Paramedics found the body of the man and he was declared
dead on the scene.
Lambinon said an
inquest docket has been opened by the police.
