A 27-year-old shot dead in Mitchell’s Plain

A 27-year-old man was this morning shot dead and a female wounded in Mitchell’s Plain in an apparent gang-related incident. 

Meanwhile Western Cape Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer said police will not stop its work in trying to curb gang violence in the province. Mitchell’s Plain police are investigating the murder.

Western Cape EMS Spokesperson Robert Daniels said the female with him in her early twenties was wounded and taken to Mitchells Plain Day Hospital with minor injuries.

“They simply walked up to them and started shooting, leaving the deceased with multiple gunshot injuries to the head and chest,” Daniels added.
