Ahead of the President’s State of the
Nation Address this evening, the ACDP has called upon bold and creative plans
for a sustainable and renewable –powered future.
It has stated that it appreciates the work
done in 2013 which resulted in the National Development Plan geared towards all
South Africans having water, electricity, sanitation, jobs, housing, public
transport, quality healthcare, adequate nutrition, social protection,
recreation and a clean environment.
Spokesperson for the ACDP Keeno Petersen
said the ACDP would like to see the State of the Nation Address confirming bold
and creative plans for a sustainable and renewable powered future -plans that
will address the energy crisis that is holding development to ransom in South Africa.
Petersen
added that the party would like to see the State of the Nation Address putting
flesh on the NDP’s bones and breathing life into long held dreams of
progressive sustainable development.
