Nehawu welcomes AG report on the use of public resources

Lusanda Bill
19 February 2014

National Education and Allied Workers Union said it is justified by the findings of the Auditor General, on the extensive looting of the public resources by the Democratic Alliance led provincial government to the tune of R10, 3 billion through the use of consultants.

Nehawu Spokesperson Sizwe Pamla said the finding by the AG is a vindication for Nehawu.

Pamla said for sometime now we have been staging protest and marching in the Western Cape, and trying to point out that most of our members who work in the public service are either being made redundant or they are left frustrated the administration.

Pamla added that for years they have persistently argued against the use of consultants by Helen Zille’s administration.
