The National
Institute for Crime Prevention and the Reintergration of Offenders on Monday
said the rearrest of two of the Waterkloof four has not only led to criticism
regarding the behaviour of the people involved but also the so called good and
comfortable conditions in prisons.
Nicro has
called for Correctional Services staff who were involved to face stiff
penalities for undermining justice.
Nicro
Spokesperson Jacques Sibomana said our concern is that people who are in
correctional facilities need to be all treated equally, and especially one
should not be traeted better because they have money.
Sibomana said
secondly it is very conercning that inmates have access to cellphones and
alcohol and also allowed to use those tools while they are still serving their
sentence in prison.
