A man left in a critical condition following a shooting incident

Netcare 911 paramedics attended to a shooting incident in Boksburg whereby a man in his forties was shot and injured this morning.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man in critical condition following the incident.

Steinmann added that the Netcare 1 helicopter was activated to airlift the man to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
