Police investigating two cases of police murders

Police in Gauteng are investigating the murder of a Tactical Response Team member who was shot in his house in Zone 2 Meadowlands last night. 

Police Spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini said the man was shot while he went out to the back room.  He was taken to hospital and died on arrival.

Meanwhile another police officer was shot multiple times and wounded while on duty in Alexandra last week Friday. 

Police suspects the two shootings could be linked. 

Dlamini said police are searching for any information that could led to the arrests of suspects involved in the two shootings.
