Western Cape MEC of Social Development Albert Fritz this week launched the Swartland Social Development Forum.

The forum will look at substance abuse, school drop outs, victim empowerment and child protection protocol.

The department is heading this forum in partnership with the Swartland Municipality.

MEC Frtiz said the main purpose of the forum is to consolidate the services which are offered by all the different entities in the Swartland and in all the ten areas, to be able to have a far bigger effect on the communities.

“We are really excited to tackle a number of our projects together and to look at far bigger results in the future especially with regards to social development funding but also projects” Fritz added.
