Wellness Centres Project launched in Mitchell’s Plain

The Western Cape Department of Health launched the Wellness Centres Project at Mitchell’s Plain Hospital on Tuesday. 

The project is a partnership agreement between the department and private sector service providers. 

MEC of Health Thenus Botha said it is important for government and health consumers and service providers to participate in the improvement of the total health service outcome. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Helene Rossouw said this is a project in terms of which patient will be able to go clinics like private healthcare clinics example Clicks etc. 

“People who go to these private clinics will be able to do HIV testing and testing for other non communicable disease.  This is part of Western Cape government’s creating wellness policy” Rossouw added.
