A 16-year-old killed in Tafelsig

A 16-year-old boy died after he was beaten to death with a spade by community members in Tafelsig. 

It is believed that the suspect broke into a house and a lady who was in the wendy house ran outside and screamed for help. 

When the woman returned to the house she discovered that the boy had locked himself inside. 

Police Spokesperson Thembinkosi Kinana said it is alleged that the community members who responded to the call for help broke into the house to get to the suspect and assaulted him.

“We have opened a murder case and no arrests have been made yet,” Kinana added.
