An accident this morning claimed the life of a woman in her thirties on the R103 near Inchange in KwaZulu Natal.
It is believed that a bakkie hit her and paramedics found her lifeless body lying on top of the bakkie canopy.
ER24 Spokesperson Luyanda Majija said the elderly bakkie driver and his passenger sustained no injuries but they were in a state of shock.

“Paramedics were told that the bakkie apparently hit the deceased as she was attempting to cross the road causing her to land on the canopy.
The bakkie then allegedly moved a further 150 meters before coming to a stop.” Majija added.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
