Several suspects arrested for drug possession in Western Cape

The Western Cape police made several arrests in Grassy Park, Ottery and Noordhoek for various crimes including dealing in drugs and being in possession of ammunition. 

In Grassy Park a 27-year-old was arrested while she was caught wrapping bags of tik with a street value of R100 000.

In another arrest two males aged 24 and 32-years-old and three females aged between 19 and 27-years-old were arrested in a house with drugs and undisclosed amount of money. 

Constable Phindiswa Gcume said our members immediately executed the search operation in the premises and found the 27 years-old female still busy taking small packets of tik then police members found small packets of tik and undisclosed amount of cash.

Gcume added that the female suspect was arrested on charges of dealing in drugs and has appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s court yesterday.
