A school shooting leaves a teacher and a learner injured

A shooting this afternoon at Oval North Secondary School in Mitchell’s Plain left a teacher and a learner in a critical condition. 

Emergency services personnel Spokesperson Robert Daniels said the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage and police are investigating the incident. 

“The teacher sustained a gunshot injury to the arm while the pupil had a gunshot wound to the chest as well as his leg." Daniels added.
