Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba plans to embark on a number of unannounced visits at Home Affairs offices across the country.

Gigaba said this is part of efforts to improve and monitor service delivery at the offices.

The Minister started with a surprise visit at the Home Affairs office in Barrack street in Cape Town on the 20th of June 2014. During his visit he interacted with a number of clients.

Gigaba said making these surprise visits one gets to interact directly with the clients and the staff and then you get the truth about issues at that particular office.
