MEC Botha says electronic technology in healthcare important

Western Cape MEC of Health Thenus Botha said he believes that electronic technology is going to play a core role in achieving the objective of improving the individual experience of patients in hospitals and clinics. 

MEC Botha was this week speaking at the Public Private Health Forum where he said that some financial challenges can be overcome through working efficiently and thinking creatively. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Helene Rossouw said we spoke about the electronic systems and new technology that will roll out in the health sector within the next five years.

“We encourage the Public Sector and Private Sector to work together in achieving this.He said that many financial challenges can be overcome through these technologies and it need not require a large investment Rossouw added.
