The Western Cape MEC of Transport and Public Works Donald Grant has welcomed the arrest of the man linked to the murder of the chief negotiator for the George Integrated Public Transport Network.

MEC Grant said he hopes that the criminal justice system will handle this matter with urgency in order to finalise the matter soon.

Mr Tom Queba was negotiating on behalf of the taxi industry for the project.

Ministerial Spokesperson Sanele Nyoka said we do not want this process to be derailed and the quick arrest is through cooperation among all levels of government including community members.
