Police searching for Jozi FM presenter who allegedly murdered his girlfriend

Gauteng police a searching for a radio presenter who is wanted for murdering his girlfriend in Soweto. 

It is alleged that the presenter from Jozi FM stabbed his 32-year-old girlfriend multiple times at her flat in Jabulani. 

Police Spokesperson Kay Makhubela said after he killed his girlfriend the suspect called a friend of the deceased and told her what he had done.

Makhubela said the friend called the police and when the police arrived at the flat and found the woman with stab wounds. 

The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage however police are investigating. 

In response Jozi FM station manger Mpho Mhlongo said as a station they are shocked at this incident that has happened. 

Mhlongo has appealed to the suspect to hand himself over to the police so that the law could take its cause. 

He added that this is a step back after the station has assisted for so many years in promoting the rights of woman and children in the country.
