Premier Mahumapelo urges parties to work together in the platinum sector

North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo has
welcomed the wage settlement which has been reached in principle.
Premier Mahumapelo has called on all parties
especially the leadership of unions of Amcu and Lomin to work with law
enforcement authorities to normalise the situation.
The strike of mineworkers has been the
longest strike in mining history in the country.
Spokesperson for the Premier Sam Mokaila said
the Premier believed that this sets Marikana on a firm pass to unity piece and
reconciliation and the premier has called on all parties to work together with
provincial government to find lasting solution to the return of normal life in
Marikana
“The premier has also called on all parties
to then give the citizens of Marikana and law enforcement authorities to work
together towards finding lasting solution for piece in the area, Mokaila
added.
