Two alleged corrupt police officials arrested in Mitchell’s Plain

Two police detectives aged 30 and 40-years-old who are stationed at Mitchell’s Plain Police Station are expected to appear in court today on allegations of corruption charges.
The two officers were caught red handed during a sting operation in Mitchell’s Plain. 

Captain FC van Wyk said shortly after an illegal deal took place in a parking area in Morgenster Road, they pounced on the detectives, who were in an official vehicle and recovered the money, R40 000.00,

“they are alleged to have received for selling a police case docket.” van Wyk added.
