Five suspects were arrested at the SAPS
Faure base for house breaking in Kirstenhof and surrounding areas.
Colonel Andre Traut said the suspects used
a crowbar to gain access to the different households.
Traut said we have reasons to believe that
the suspects were responsible for housebreaking cases in Kisternhof. One of the
suspect is a police officer stationed at Kleinvlei police station.
“We also confiscated a motor vehicle a KIA
Reo which we believe was used in these house breaking cases. This vehicle was
stolen during a house breaking incident in Primrose KwaZulu Natal during July
this year.” Traut added
The five are expected to appear in the
Wynberg Magistrate Court soon.
