Two separate accidents leave one person dead and another injured

An accident this morning along Ocean View Road in Winklespruit left one person dead after his vehicle collided into a tree. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said a man seemed to have veered off the road with his vehicle and then hit a fence and crashed into a tree.

Botha said when paramedics arrived there the person was still in the vehicle and tragically he had died due to the very extensive injuries that he had sustained.

Meanwhile in another accident a man was left in a critical condition this morning on Nelson Mandela Drive in Pretoria.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Stienmann said when paramedics arrived on scene they found a man believed to be in his 30’s in a critical condition, after his vehicle left the roadway and crashed against the boundary wall.

Steinmann added that the injured man was treated on scene before being rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
