Two men and two women were tragically killed this afternoon on the N8
near Bloemfontein after two vehicles collided head on.
Shortly after paramedics arrived on scene where they found the two high
performance vehicles lying in the middle of the highway.
ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said Paramedics were shocked to find both vehicles had
sustained major damage with the engine of one of the vehicles lying some
distance away.
Meiring said on assessment, paramedics found that both of the occupants had sustained fatal injuries.
Meiring said three occupants were found lying in the second vehicle, two of them showing no signs of life.
Meiring said Paramedics
carefully removed the patients from the vehicle and initiated CPR.
Unfortunately both patients were declared dead after approximately 30 minutes
of CPR.
Meiring said the remaining patient was treated for his injuries and thereafter transported to Pelonomi Hospital for further treatment.
“Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the collision Meiring added.
