The South African Communist Party in Gauteng has strongly condemned the attempts of land grab steered by Empty Futhi Futhi on Nellmapius Road in Tshwane last week.

SACP Provincial Spokesperson Lucian Segami in a statement said the residents were deceitfully mobilized to grab land that does not belong to them. The Metro Police had to intervene by firing teargas and the City of Tshwane approached the courts for an urgent court interdict.

Segami said we believe that this invasion is the devil plans for the imminent housing plan in the area and government therefore realizing its commitment to land reform.

"We have thus called on law enforcement agencies to follow through suspicions of criminal conduct. Particularly we want a determination of who is funding this anarchy cooperation of the EFF, because we believe that this incident is not isolated and its part of unraveling intensity counter revolution.”Segami added.
