Eskom's latest power crisis
will continue on Sunday but the power utility is expected to be able to revert
to stage two power cuts.
The national grid came under
severe strain on Saturday.
Eskom was forced to activate
stage three rolling blackouts due to depleted water and diesel reserves, and
technical problems at its power stations.
Two generators also required
urgent maintenance.
Eskom Spokesperson Sikelela Mkhabela said load shedding will be
implemented according to the stage two schedule, available on Eskom's website
at Eskom.co.za and also available through their call centre.
Mkhabela
said all the suburbs and areas in South Africa some time, will be in the
schedule. The public is advised to get hold of the schedule to see when load
shedding in their area will begin and end.
Mkhabela
said Municipalities will have their own documented schedules.
“South
Africans need to save 10% of electricity to avoid load shedding Mkhabela added.
