Two killed in Krugersdorp aircraft crash

A light aircraft crash this afternoon left two people dead near the R41 in Munsieville in Krugersdorp.

The exact details to the cause of the crash will remain the subject of a police investigation.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said Paramedics could see the wreckage in the mountainous area but was unable to reach it by road.

A helicopter flying over the area picked up the ER24 paramedics and dropped them at the crash site.

Meiring said on scene, paramedics discovered the lifeless bodies of the two occupants of the aircraft.
Meiring said unfortunately they had already succumbed to their injuries.

 “The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations Meiring added.
