The Western Cape Department of Community
Safety together with Provincial Education Department and civil organisations
will be hosting various youth programme being conducted by faith based
organisations to ensure the safety of children during the school holiday
period.
Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha said
it is important the whole society remain vigilant to ensure the safety of our
youth during this summer holiday period.
Botha added that the Youth, Safety and Religion
Partnership programme has grown in the last three years since its been
launched.
For the December 2014 and January 2015
summer school holiday, the Department of Community Safety has made R5 million
available to 114 faith based organisations.
The holiday programme dates vary but some
will run until the 16th January
2014 .
