The Western Cape Department of Education said it is satisfied by the process of the marking of the National Senior Certificate examination papers which conclude this week.

In a statement the WCED said it has been overwhelmed by the commitment and dedication shown by the markers in the marking centres across the province.

Final checks of the marks are now currently underway.

Ministerial Spokesperson Jessica Shelver said the much anticipated results of the NSC are expected to be announced by the National Minister on the 05th of January 2015.

Shelver added that schools and candidates in the Western Cape will receive their results on the 06th of January 2015.
