As New Year’s celebrations get underway,
President Jacob Zuma says this is a time to reflect on the progress the country
has made, not just in 2014 but over the past two decades.
Zuma addressed the nation in his New Year message sayingSouth Africa is a much better
place to live in as millions of people's lives have been changed.
The president says though government has delivered on some promises in 2014 there is still a lot to be done in the year 2015 to better the lives of ordinary citizens.
He further elaborated that 2015 should be a year where the country focuses more on the upgrading and expansion of energy infrastructure, following Eskom struggling to keep the lights on and had to put in place load shedding.
