A house fire in the Oribi area
of Pietermaritzburg left an elderly couple dead this morning. This is after
their house was engulfed in flames.

Botha said when they arrived on the scene the firemen were fighting the blaze.
He said as soon as the firemen
finished paramedics went in and found both people had tragically died due to the
severe injuries they had sustained
The exact details to the cause
of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
