A dead body of a woman discovered in Woodstock

 A body of a naked women in her thirties was discovered by a passer-by at the intersections of upper Roodebloem and upper Mountain Road in Woodstock on Monday.

The circumstances surrounding the death of the women are unknown at this stage however police have opened a murder case for investigation.

Captain Hilton Malila says upon police arrival at the scene they discovered a half-naked body of a women with head injuries. The woman was declared dead by medical personnel’s on the scene.

Malila said the deceased was dressed in bar clothing, blue scarf, blue t-shirt and dreadlocks. The identity of the deceased is still unknown. Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the investigating officer detective warrant officer warrant Smith at the Woodstock Police Station on 021 222 3141.
