Cosatu supports Fawu strike in Limpopo

The Congress of South African Trade Union in Limpopo has thrown its support behind the protected strikes action by Food and Allied Workers Union, workers of Polokwane Vleislapa Butchery.

The workers are demanding R500 per month and seven days family responsibility leave and Blockman adjustment.
Cosatu Provincial Secretary Gerald Mkhomazi Twala said basically workers are demanding better wages and conditions of employment.

Twala added that they are currently earning as little as R2 300 a month and are demanding R500 increase.
