The African National Congress in Gauteng said it is satisfied that Gauteng Premier David Makhuru is making great strides in dealing with corrupt government officials head-on.

While addressing the provincial legislature this week Premier Makhuru announced proposals that will be developed regarding officials who are suspected of corruption.

Since taking the position of Premier there have been forty-three corruption cases that have been investigated.

ANC Provincial Spokesperson Nkenke Kekana says “the ANC is also happy that the premier has established an integrity management unit whose objective is to ensure that the anti-corruption units that are currently working in the province are coordinated and that civil servants do disclose their interest and those of their families and that they should not do business with government, Kekana added.
