President Zuma says matters at NPA and Hawks are dealt with

President Jacob Zuma says matters facing the National Prosecuting Authority and the Hawks are being dealt with.

The NPA is currently dealing with the strange disappearance of its deputy Nomgcobo Jiba, and the Hawks tackling the suspension of Hawks boss Anwa Dramat and the fighting with Police Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko.

In a statement President Zuma said Minister Nhleko has assured him that due process will be followed with dealing with the Hawks matter.

Presidential Spokesperson Mac Maharaj said the two ministers assured the president that they attending to the matters relating executive managers of the National Prosecuting Authority and the issues that have played out in the public.

Maharaj said government will ensure that confidence in the justice crime prevention and security cluster will remain solid and that cluster continues with critical tasks of fighting crime and corruption and ensuring the safety and security of the public.
