An accident this morning on the N12 just outside Potchefstroom left seventeen people injured after the taxi they were travelling in was involved in a collision.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24 paramedics from the Potchefstroom branch arrived on scene and found the wrecked taxi lying on the side of the road.

Meiring said the occupants of the taxi were found sitting on the nearby pavement. On assessment, the paramedics found that seventeen people had sustained only minor injuries in this collision.

“Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Potchefstroom Hospital for further treatment” Meiring added.
