Body of an elderly man discovered inside the boot of a car in Mayfair

A body of an elderly man was discovered in Mayfair, Johannesburg after he was hijacked by three armed men on Wednesday night.

Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Kay Makhubela said the old man and his grandson were driving around Mayfair when they were hijacked by three males.

Makhubela said the suspects dropped the 23-year-old grandson and then continued with the elderly man, where they shot him and placed him in the boot of the car.

“We found the abandoned car in Dobsonville Soweto and no arrests have been made as yet” Makhubela added
