The Democratic Alliance has called for Minister of Police Nkosinathi Ntleko to put the matter of xenophobic attack in KwaZulu Natal, at the top of his agenda.

DA’s Zakhele Mbhele said they are very concerned about the recent trends in xenophobic violence that has been reported in Durban which is a repeat of what happened in Soweto and surrounding areas, a few months ago.

Mbhele says we need an urgent plan to address these issues and to secure the rights of people to live in safety and to ensure that foreign nationals as well as other South Africans who are often mistaken as foreign nationals will be protected from the violence.
