Four suspects to appear in court for illegal cigarettes and suspected stolen vehicles

Four suspects aged between twenty and 30 years -old were arrested after they were found to be in possession of illegal cigarettes worth five-hundred-thousand-Rand.

Lieutenat Colonel Katlego Mogale said police received a complaint about two vehicles driving recklessly on Church Street heading to Midrand.

Katlego Mogale said when they went to the scene, two of the vehicles jumped stop signs and members pulled them over.

Mogale said upon checking the vehicles they found illegal cigarettes in both vehicles which is a double cab Toyota Hilux and a single cab.

Mogale said a double cab has been reported stolen in Bracken downs and a single cab has been reported stolen in Haartebeespoort.

“The suspects will be appearing in the Atterigdeville Magistrates court on charges of possession of illegal cigarettes and suspected stolen motor vehicles.” Mogale concluded.
