Golden Arrow bus suspends services in Nyanga

Golden Arrow has suspended its services in Nyanga this is after three buses were set alight this morning.

In a statement Golden Arrow bus services said they have received reports of a number of stoning incidents and reports of minor injuries to passengers therefore the services have to be suspended.

The cause for the unrest in Nyanga is unknown but there is heavy police guard in the area and on the N2.

Golden Arrow Bus service Spokesperson Bronwen Dyke said the safety of our drivers and passengers remain our priority that is why we have suspended services in the area. We ask our passengers to please make their way to Borcherd’s Quarry where there is a police presences.

"We would also like to apologies for any inconvenience and assure our passengers that we are doing everything in our power to ensure that they are safe and able to get to where they need to be” Dyke added.
