NUM calls for swift arrest following the murder of Satawu’s Chris Nkosi

The National Union of Mineworkers has expressed its outraged at the murder of South African Transport and Allied Workers Union Gauteng Secretary Chris Nkosi.

Nkosi was allegedly shot five times while driving home on Monday evening in the Johannesburg CBD.

NUM Acting National Spokesperson Livhuwani Mammburu said law enforcement agencies need to take this incident seriously and arrest these heartless killers.

Mammburu said NUM extends its heartfelt and deepest condolences to the family of Chris Nkosi during this difficult time.

The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage and no arrests have been made as yet.
