Several people arrested in Lavender Hill and Ottery raid

The City of Cape Town’s Law Enforcement on Wednesday conducted crime operations in Lavender Hill and Ottery whereby raids were conducted in known drug houses. 
 
City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said this operation is part of a broader enforcement strategy in the metropole and that several similar operations in Hanover Park and Manenberg have yielded positive results.
 
Smith added that at one house the occupants were forced to uses rubber bullets saw after the occupants refused them entry and tried to set several pit bulls on the staff.  Several arrests were made in that house, people were found in possession of large amount of money and drugs
 
“We also found a makeshift dagga growing chamber erected in the garage at the back which was dismantle” Smith added.
